REASON NO. 5 THAT DIETS DON’T WORK
YOU WANT WHAT YOU CAN’T HAVE
You want what you can’t have! Observe any child, as soon as they are told they can’t have something, they want it even more and can even end up in a tantrum.
As soon as you decide to go on a restrictive diet, cutting out particular foods, food groups or even complete meals, you become you become much more aware of what you are denying yourself, when you are able to eat next and what you are going to eat.
Once you go on diet and tell yourself you can’t have chocolate, snacks, junk, desserts etc., guess what you will find yourself focusing on?
FOOD FREEDOM is the ability eat anything you want at anytime or place. Nothing is forbidden You can have a pocket of crisps or chocolate bar however you won’t be compelled to eat the whole selection pack.
You become conscious of what is triggering you to make poor eating choices and YOU CHOOSE to eat foods your body actually wants and needs s oppose to foods that will give you a dopamine hit when you feel the need.
As a baby you chose to eat just enough to support your body’s need to breathe, grow and thrive. If your parent gave you too much food, yo would throw up what you didn’t need.
As a coach, my goal is to restore you to your original programming. Eat enough good food to support thrive (best mental end physical health) and ENJOY EVERY MOUTHFUL! then STOP!
